Can you be TOO connected?
Sometimes I wonder if I’m either too connected or not connected enough.
Between websites, forums, IM, e-mail, etc. etc., a person could spend ALL DAY doing nothing but communicating with people. Seriously.
At the same time, when the area you live in does not afford you the opportunity to connect with people “like you” - the virtual communities that do become quite important.
I suppose - like anything - you have to strike a balance. Still, I haven’t posted in a while - to all kinds of places, so here’s my shout out that I’m still alive.
And the mother of a 12-year old! EEP! And apparently, the mother of a banana.

Between four blogs, forums and email, I really DO feel like I spend the day communicating with people all day long. It never ceases to amaze my husband when he gets home and I tell him I’m “all talked out”, since he figures that being a SAH/homeschooling Mom I’d be starving for adult contact. Um, no. Not at all.
I’m glad you’re alive still. Was beginning to wonder!

LOL! I’m still alive - just working hard to keep all the flaming batons in the air (homeschooling, errands, housework, writing, Internet time)….

Let’s see…
Half my staff at work got promoted. Since we had a staff of two, that leaves me to run the shift. No plans to hire a replacement. Yay.
We’ve a new furnace. Yay!!
My wife, family, and cats all love me. Yay!!!
I’m relatively healthy and (compared to the rest of the country) debt free. Yay!!!!
and I have the bestest friends in the whole world. Well, none of them would give me a kidney. Ok, they’d give me a kidney, but it wouldn’t be one of their own. But still, you couldn’t hire friends like these. Except for the one in L. A. Someone hire the boy. He’s honest, hard-working, and he knows the kidney black market like the back of your hand.
