OH, and one more thing

I had to share this: A 300 Parody (WARNING: Possibly politically charged content - not that it’s unsafe for work from an images or language POV or anything - but be sure of your work environment before opening)

Ow

Right now I’m sick.

Not only that, I’m sick while some invisible a*hole is shoving a knitting needle in my ear.

Not good. Not fun. Not schway.

Plans for tomorrow: 1. See doctor. 2. Get drugs. 3. Pass out.

New info as it appears.

Howz it goin’, Dudes and Dudettes?

:-)

Hey, everyone! What’s up? What’s going on? What’s the scoop? What’s the skinny? What’s shakin’? What’s the buzz? How’s it hangin’? Que pasa?

Saturday we went over to the Japanese Festival. The Udon noodles were GREAT! YUM! and the Tempura … YUM-MEE! There was a judo demonstration. AND … this year we got to stay for the Taiko drums - very schway. Saw some flower arrangements. Met some friends. All in all - a wonderful time.

Sunday was Crit Group.

Yesterday was — actually relaxing. J:-)

So - do tell - I’m all ears!

Most Restrictive Imprisonment

If I ever have to have an MRI of the neck again - it’s going to be an Open MRI. Seriously. I’m not a very clausterphobic person - but this was … not fun. Luckily it was only for 20 minutes. And of course they tell you to keep the swallowing to a minimum - so what does your body want to do? Swallow like crazy, of course!

So there I am in round, open-ended coffin - with a neck brace on … that’s what did it. I could have handled having to lie still in a tight place. Tanning beds aren’t much different, really. But it was the brace that held my neck and head - and thus shoulders - perfectly still. Breathing was interesting. Yeah, it was the brace that tripped me out. And while I’m listening to of the whines, thumps (oh, the thumps), and shrill sounds that remind me of alarms - all I can think of is wanting to swallow, controlling my breathing, wishing I could my eyes, and realizing how very, very much my foot is starting to itch. But I can’t move - I can’t shift to a more comfortable position - nada. At least it was over quickly.

It wasn’t the worst procedure I’ve been through - but it certainly wasn’t the best.

And all for a thumb…. Updates as they occur.

*sigh*

Well, Cara has gone home. She arrived home late - but safe - about midnight this morning. I know she was getting a little homesick toward the end of her visit.

We had such a great time! We took a trip into SF; we went to Berkeley; we went to the beach and saw seals! It was fantastic! I missed her the second she disappeared into the security checkpoint, but I’m already starting to plan my next visit back east to see her, so I’ll make it.

Once she posts pics and stories about our adventures, I’ll link to them. But for now……

Cara, I’m so happy Cindy and you were able to come and visit! I had such a wonderful time, and I will remember our excursions forever with a happy heart and a mischievious smile!

Cindy, you rock, girl!

How has everyone been? Updates, please. After all, I did miss you…..
