Something cool to “waste” your time on….
I came across this while getting lost in the Internet again. It’s called Ninjai: The Little Ninja. I’ve only seen the first chapter - but it looks cool!

Ow. Ow. (yawn) Ow.
Okay - so today was my first day of Tae Kwon Do…and man, did Master Lee kick my butt! And then, while we were kicking, I wrenched my knee. Ugh! Master Lee was very cool and supportive about everthing. He was calming and reassuring and understanding and I LOVE TAE KWON DO already! Okay, it was only my first class - but I’ve been watching Phillip these past three weeks or so - and wow. Okay, I’m hurting and exhausted right now - but all I can really think about is “Master Lee liked my kicks. Master Lee liked my punches.” ^_^
K-YAH!

Ah - the Internet
Okay….while helping Phillip do his homework, I found myself in the position of having to figure out how far it is from Chicago to London - and whether San Ramon to Chicago is more or less miles than that. EEK! What to do? Go to Internet! Google gave me this little gem - which I now have bookmarked. It also gives you Latitude and Longitude information…in case you need to pinpoint those ICBMs.

AUGH!
I promise to TRY to post something in the near future.
Really.
I’ll try.
Okay, I can’t tell you when - an exact time or anything -
but it will be soon. Of course, soon is relative. I mean, to
the universe soon might be 10, 000 years; to Dick Clark
or Keith Richards (being immortal or semi-immortal) soon
might be 50 years. Just think soon as I think of soon.

Will the real Kerry please stand up?
John Kerry needs help. He can’t keep his own thoughts and beliefs straight. Please see this WND article and this speech from Kerry’s website. In my opinion, the speech shows what a two-faced liar this man is. Not only is he an elitest (look at his lifestyle and the comments he makes…”Do you know who I am?” Sheesh!), but he’s also an internationalist. John Kerry as president - to me - means a slide backward for us on many levels. Cross your fingers and vote!

Forget your papers - they’re linking everything to your fingerprints….
This article should scare those of you who have kids AND those of you who don’t. “It’s for safety” is the new mantra we’re all supposed to swallow. I understand that this district has had some problems with dropping kids off at multiple schools - and kids getting off at the wrong school, but that’s when you start educating the kids about where they are supposed to get off, not demanding their fingerprints. The woman in the article trusts the school system a bit too much, I think, and as with all things lately, it’s not the current people or administrations in place that worry me so much - as those that will come later and how they will use/abuse the systems that people are trying to put in place. Like, say, a national I.D. card that would have ALL your records linked to it. That scares the HE** out of me. Not because the people now would be such a problem, but God only knows what later governments would come up with. “We see here that you were recently prescribed medicines for depression - we’ll need a doctor’s slip before you can fly.” And don’t think they wouldn’t leap to those measures if they could find a way to do it - maybe not now….
The sad thing is that current politicians are only thinking of the now - they aren’t thinking of how things will be seen, used, or abused in the future. Our founding fathers were very intelligent men who thought about how their work would be used in the present, the future, and the future’s future. Sadly, we’re left with men whose legislative IQs are smaller than their shoe sizes.
It really gripes my monkey.
