Feeling better! (and a quick movie review)
Thanks to all of you who didn’t write me any “Get Well” messages or e-mails. I know you were all –thinking– good thoughts for me, even if you didn’t send them. Right? I am feeling better - although I have a few more days ahead of me until I’m 100%. Not much else has been going on. I haven’t finished my Christmas shopping - the decorations aren’t quite finished - but I did get to go to the movies. Part of my “Rest and Recover” program. I went to see: (drumroll) The Last Samurai ! It was a very good movie experience. Maybe that’s because - unlike the middle-aged clueless couple in front of me - I actually have some knowledge of Japanese culture and history. I won’t go into their comments here. There’s no need to draw further attention to their lack of clue. Let’s just say they need to crawl out from under their rock a little more often. One of the big pluses of this movie is that they worked very hard to convey how life in 1870’s era Japan was. The battle scenes are incredible. For those who won’t get to see it on the big screen - I don’t think you need to worry. I think it will be just as effective on the small screen. Cruise is Cruise to be sure, but I think that the elements of his personality that he let through worked for this character. The monkey says: 4 bananas out of 5!

This time I have a really good reason for my lack of postings….
Hi, everyone. Sorry for my lack of attention to my little universe here - but I have a very good reason…I have pneumonia! ICK! I did dig up this little gem, though. The Chitimacha tribe in Louisiana is one of the only - if not THE only - tribe to actually have their reservation on their ancestrals lands AND they thought their language was lost to them until not to long ago when someone at the Smithsonian discovered some writings - now they are reviving their language - teaching it to their children and their adults alike. Good for them!

Something I stumbled on…
Ow! LOL! Just kidding - I ran across this something. It’s the Which Heinlein character would you be? quiz.

You belong in Time Enough For Love. You are older
than you look. Your wit and wisdom are prized
by others. People throw themselves on you,
begging to be with you.
Which Heinlein Book Should You Have Been A Character In?
brought to you by Quizilla
The sad thing is: I don’t think I’ve read that one.
See what yours is!

Trouble in PJ’s Universe (cont.)
Okay - so I had to manually enter the last few entries (and this one) instead of using the app I normally use. (See previous entry). *sigh* My sys admin still wants to fix it - although we can temporarily?permanently? choose another app to use. I will keep you posted on the technical saga as things develop.

Trouble in PJ’s Universe
Some of these entries are delayed because of some problems with the way I post things and run my website. My dear, sweet sys admin had fixed some things for me - apparently the fixing broke something else. ;( Still you will get to see all the postings I’ve written when it’s fixed.

The Cube
Okay - this might bring up all kinds of things for you: Ice Cube; Cube (a movie); Gleaming the Cube (another movie - not as good); or the Rubick’s Cube. I have a Rubick’s Cube in front of me - and for the life of me - can’t remember all those tricks I painstakingly studied to solve it. {pout} Thank goodness for the Internet (at least until this happens). That was all - I just wanted to complain about that one failing point of our human brains - if you don’t use it, you lose it.

Bad PJ, Bad PJ
Okay, okay - so I haven’t been posting. Shame on me - but I have some very good reasons why I haven’t (two of them are 8 and 2; one is in Columbus), plus the holiday, AND…well….see for yourself…..
Some of you will remember my telling you that I was going to be in charge of the Cub Scout pack’s Wreath sales this year. Ugh. All-in-all, it really hasn’t been that bad, but there have been moments.
I wish I could say that I’ve done some writing lately - but I’d be lying to you if I did…and that wouldn’t be right. So I am going to try to do some writing - get more organized - get my Christmas shopping finished - AND GET THE REST OF THE WREATHS OUT OF MY GARAGE!!!! Until next I type…….behave…..or at least try.

Testing!
Having some issues with posting - so this test is part of the debugging process. you can ignore it completely - or if you so choose - pay attention to it wholeheartedly - like my cousin Billy Bob and the late-night test pattern.
