Hey, guess what?

I sat on the edge of my bed today and lifted my injured-but-now-recovering leg straight out! This is fantastic news because it means I’m another step closer to being moved from PWB to FWB (PWB=patial weight bearing; FWB=full).

Yay me!

I DID IT!!!!!

I got permission from my doctor to drive! But first Andrew had to go out with me to a parking lot to see how I would do - and if he felt comfortable with my driving - then I could drive within town. YaHoo!

So - Andrew took me to an over-flow lot and let me drive around for a while. He said he felt that I was doing just fine - especially as it’s been 3 MONTHS since I’ve driven. :-o After that, I drove us to Wendy’s. Yum!

Plus…although they hurt a bit…I can do a few straight front leg raises on my own. Yay! :-)

Recovery is in sight - finally….

PJ’s Current State of Mind Address

My dear readers, right now I am sitting in a blue recliner with my feet soaking in a warm, bubbly foot bath. I am working hard toward completing my NaNoWriMo novel, even though mentally I’m quite conflicted. I am quite frustrated with not being able to drive or travel or do the things that I normally do. I’m better - a bit more mobile - but not able to drive, or do laundry, or cook. [pout] This has me quite frustrated…but ahhhhh - the foot bath is nice. [Rest of the post deleted as it was simply a long, rambling affair whereby the author switched between being happy one line, frustrated the next, and carrying on about her foot bath after that before going on to the next happy or frustrating thing. –Mgmt]

Today’s Physical Therapy

Today’s physical therapy went great! I am making huge progress. Okay, my knee’s going to be sore tonight - but I’m willing to put up with it if it means that eventually - sometime soon - I’ll be walking on my own.

Halloween went well. I may post a picture if I can wrestle it away from AJ.
