Secret Project: REVEALED!

TECH FOR WRITERS is alive!

This project is a combination of two things.

A podcast where I, as your hostess, discuss technology tools writers can use (software, backup utilities, etc.) and technology topics in science, computing, and so on which writers may want to research when they’re writing (suspended animation, biometrics, etc.).

And a forum where writers can talk about science and technology, the show, writing in general….

If you follow the link to the main page, you can listen on-line to the first episode. I apologize, but at this time, it looks as though you have to have Quicktime to do so. You can also subscribe to Tech For Writers using iTunes by clicking HERE.

I have some bugs to work out - I’ll admit that. In the meantime, I would appreciate your comments, suggestions, and feedback! Even if you aren’t a writer - and you do listen - I’d like to hear from you. :-)

Thanks!

It occurs to me….

…that I haven’t really mentioned or linked to my other blog much. I added it to the side - and will mention it here for those who don’t visit it. Write, Pam, Write is my writer’s blog. It focuses mainly on my progress as a writer and things that other writers might find useful or interesting. Sometimes I make the same post on both, but otherwise, this site is more for my personal/family comments - and the other is for my writing.

Once upon a time, I only had this site - and my writing entries and links were mixed in here, but I decided to split them because it was a jumble, and more difficult for people to find the writing info in the midst of all the other entries. Besides, I wanted to have a separate site so that when my writing career takes off, my personal stuff isn’t thrown out there. I’m sure those who really want to see it will find it (Duh! Can you say Google?), but for those who aren’t interested in that part of my life - just in my writing and whatever I can share about writing - it won’t be in their face. More professional, I think. Now, I’ve read many authors’ blogs - and it’s inevitable that some personal comments and posts happen, and that’s okay, but mostly they keep things focused on their writing, the writing of others, or the industry, and that’s what I’m aiming for. That’s why I haven’t linked back from there to here, but don’t mind linking from here to there. :-D

Eventually I plan to start including excerpts of my work. In fact, I might do that soon. Oh, and I also occasionally plan to have contests! The prizes are … surprise, surprise … books! For now, they are the books of others, but eventually … they will be my books! February’s contest is over now, but there will be another one soon!

For those who already read Write, Pam, Write … thank you! For those who don’t, I look forward to seeing you there!

Escape Pod

Okay - this is just way cool. Escape Pod is an eZine in podcast format that is short or flash science fiction/fantasy/light horror. I have heard the editor on several other podcasts (I Should Be Writing is one). The whole concept is great. And they pay for story submissions. Okay, they prefer previously published works, but will consider really good first time submissions (Uhem, Monster - are you listening?). I’ve only heard one story so far myself, but it was good - and the voice they used (not the author’s) was easy on the ears, if you know what I mean. So go - download/subscribe - listen. It’s good for you! Especially those who have commutes - and you know who you are….

Loved this one

So, I found myself wandering into Secret Agent Josephine’s neighborhood while crusing the WebWay. I love her sight - I especially love this - which I assume is her own original artwork. Check her out.

Awesome Art!

Came across this guy’s awesome street paintings. It really sucks that we can’t see things like this where we’re living now. *sigh*
