Japan, Part 2

Ok, here are some leftovers that I've recently scanned. Not much formatting on these; I've pretty much placed them on the page as-is.

First on the auction block we have a handwritten note by Etsuko herself; if you ever wanted to know what the Japanese writing for "Electric Streets" is, here you go:


Next we have an ad for "Arinco Life Supplement". Note that is has "Ant Power" (in the upper left corner). Not sure what that means, but here you are:


I got a lot of these. Apparently it is for a raffle that was being held by area shops. It was mostly given out to visitors of eateries, and I had to eat out a lot. My hosts also insisted on giving them to me since they didn't want them. I have no idea if I won; it could be that I won and never collected the prize.


Here is a little "Point and grunt" book for we ignorant savages that do not speak Japanese. I never had to use it; I suppose it would have worked


A little detail of the Tokyo subway system. In the interest of saving bandwidth I have not put up the full-size one. Use your imagination. Look at the pretty colored lines...

If you are ever in a Brazilian restaurant in Tokyo and you don't want any more food you'll find this very handy.

Yes, I spent money at Pokemon Center. You got a problem with that? You get extra credit if you can actually tell what I bought.


The subway tickets are very pretty. Most US tickets are, well, boring.


Even the Subway tray liners are interesting.
