Playing with effects in iMovie

So, here is a first run at ChromaKey using some iMovie plugins.

Not stellar; in fact, it looks like I will have to pony up for Final Cut Express/Pro or Adobe After Effects if we want to do this well.

Still, it was a lot of fun to make.

Rough Type: Nicholas Carr’s Blog: Rise of the wikicrats

I was hoping it would get better, but it seems to be getting worse.

I’m a big fan of Wikipedia – or, at least, I was. But lately I’ve noticed that a lot of pages that I used to refer to – like the rather odd group “Futuristic Sex Robotz” – no longer existed.

That, and the pages that are there are now plastered with little boxes that critique how the page is written, or express dislike for the way in with the page presents references.

I had wondered what was going on and I found my answer here.

Sad. My impression? The golden age of Wikipedia *is* over.

Update: You could join the Article Rescue Squadron I guess.
