A very good Reason Magazine article on the rise of the neoprohibitionists. These are the nutsos that, quite simply, want to prevent anyone from drinking at all, regardless of the reason or cost. It’s the next logical step in the War On (some) Drugs. They’ll just expand it to all drugs!

Think of it, instead, as the War On Fun. Because Fun == Bad. Perhaps even evil – who knows?

I wonder how many of the current crop of funkillers^W neoprohibitionists have children with drinking problems. Probably a lot of them, as it seems that Europe doesn’t have these problems (despite junk science from the DOJ that says otherwise.)
