Hey, it’s not a supreme court ruling – yet, but…

US Border agents no longer need a warrant of any kind to search your laptop during a border crossing.

This includes running extensive forensic analysis tools on your machine to see if you’ve been up to no good in the past.

Time to start encrypting everything, methinks.
