Sorry, it appears most of the games are Windows-only.

Remember when you needed to know HTML and deep server skillz in order to put up your very own adult web site? (Not to mention content, but I can’t help you there and you really don’t want me to.)
Well, no more! Now all you have to do is sign up with My Adult Web Site and you can have your own XXX web site in minutes!
(Probably not safe for work)
Appliance boxes are big in the IT industry right now; they provide point-solutions to specific problems. My problems with them tend to fall into these catagories:
Infoblox sells appliance boxes that are very unique; LDAP, RADIUS and DNS in appliance form. Before this your choices for DNS were either 1) put it on a UNIX box and hire (or rent) a guru or 2) use a horribly broken and badly designed kludge that works on Windows.
As Infoblox has Cricket Liu on staff (he wrote the O’Reilly books on DNS) I suspect their implementation uses Open Source and is fully featured.
Now, how do I get them to send me a free demo box?
For those of you in the open source world:
IT Manager’s Journal has published Lajos Moczar’s paper on open source – and how it is changing due to market forces – in three parts.
He makes some good points; I had not noticed the directions and trends that a lot of these changes are causing. Some of it is good – more funding – and some of it is bad (less freedom).
You can form your own opinion by reading the article here
For those of you who use news aggregators instead of a web browser (or as well as a browser) CNN has started providing access to their news via RSS feeds.
They have a number of different types of feeds; check them out here

Because I have a backlog it is time for another MultiPost… whether you like it or not.
I, Robot by Cory Doctorow
This is a very interesting story based on the Three Laws of Robotics originally proposed (I believe) by Asimov. It is a bit long, but I highly recommend it.
Do you work in the land of Dilbert? Ever wish you could make your own improvised munitions to deal with those supply closet disputes?
Well, now you can.
Yes, all of them.
Really.
Lastly, but not leastly, we have some images.
#1 is the Cellar Image of the Day. Very cool, be sure to check out the archives.
And, (NOT SAFE FOR WORK) – what the hell is going on here? Is that spaghetti? Please tell me that is spaghetti.
I am still stunned that the US Navy has named an attack submarine after Jimmy Carter. My feelings on this are best expressed in this cartoon.
An attack submarine – named after the guy who was the central pillar in the killer rabbit incident. Yeah, he was quite a warrior as president.
But, what’s done is done. Thanks to Frank J. we have have some excerpts from the Captain’s log of the newly minted ship.
An attack submarine.
So, Pam sees a charge on our credit card for $9.95 from “Reservation Rewards”. She asks me to investigate.
Upon calling I learn that I signed up for this “service” when I placed Pam’s Christmas gift order with MobilePlanet. How nice.
I’ve written to MobilePlanet asking for an explanation; as a long-standing customer I feel I have a right to that.
Yes, still alive. Very busy as work actually expects me to produce results now. sigh
Still, life is good and no need to feel sorry for me (not that you did anyway). Others deserve our sympathy more than I; there are a large number of people who live in a place known for great weather that are currently smothering under more than 8 inches of rain. Hi, Bruce!
Small post for now, then back to work. So, I leave you this link – read the article to understand why I phrased it this way:
If this doesn’t scare you senseless then you haven’t considered the broader implications.
Sorry for the quiet period; between work, travel, and everything else… oh, and Pam gave me her cold.
Until that is cleared up here is a flash animation I found – I don’t remember where or how. I found it quite interesting.
